Immenstaad, Portrait

This was another fun encounter on our trip. I was making the top photo when the woman below approached me and asked what I was doing.  I speak even less German than I do French, so I was really happy when she switched to English.  She brought me in the house I was photographing, which she owned, and showed me around. I couldn't really understand how she came to own the house, or what it was used for, but it had a really amazing wood-burning heating unit that was all gold.  From what I gathered, the house had been in her family for many generations and had been used to store food for a number of people during the cold winters.
