Dlo
I've been thinking about this water project all week. I went out and shot a few images, although I'm not sure if they're relevant just yet. While organizing my computer files, I checked the archives to see if there are images from past projects that might fit my idea, and I found the photo above from my project NeoNature, circa 2004. Hard to believe it's been SIX YEARS since I worked on that project.
Here are a few facts from charity: water that you might not have been aware of:
- Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of all sickness and disease, and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
- Of the 42,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water and a lack of basic sanitation, 90% are children under 5 years old.
- Our planet is 70% water. 97.5% of that is saltwater. This means only 2.5% is available for the 6 billion people on the planet today.
Have a great weekend!
PS: I read online that Dlo is how you say water in Haitian Creole (one of the two official languages of Haiti). I'm going to try to learn how to say water in every language.

You have picked a good place to start your water project. San Diego is certainly no stranger to serious water issues.
