shakas and singlefins

i am a frequent checker-outer of ryan tatar's blog, shakas and singlefins. check out his photography here. i dig his work because it's surf photography with a punk rock/street kick to it. a lot of the surf photography i see in the world is softer than this and i enjoy the edge ryan puts in his work.

while meeting with chris at surfindian gallery, ryan came by and i was stoked to get to meet him before he took off on his cross country adventure to the east coast. i can't wait to see the images he makes on his journey and in his new home.
